Patterns Created

With my designs I have been experimenting with differnet colour ways and seeing what colours work best. With this one I felt that when I changed the colours around on Photoshop that it ended up looking better then the orignial as you can see. I think this repreat pattern of landscape works a lot better with pinks and blues rather then reds and greens. The different tones of pink and blue also make the pattern look more like a childs fantasy world.
Another appproach to creating patterns for a childs bedroom is one were different motifs are randomly scattered. I have created two pieces in this way. One being of different sweets and another being of different cakes. I really like these pieces and feel they would work well as bedding or cushion covers. I also really like the bright colours of the sweets and the softer colours of the cakes. If I wanted to, these pieces would also work well as childrens wrapping paper.

Patterns Created

For the past couple of weeks I have been scanning my images onto Photoshop and playing around with repeat pattern techniques and different colour ways. When I have finished this half of the projext I feel I will have 3-4 different collections for childrens interiors. These interiors will consist of bedding and wallpapers. These are lollipops that I cut out on Phototshop and arranged them into a repeat. The circles that look like beads are cut from the circle icecream shape and again repeated. I think this peice would work really well as wallpaper.
This piece is taken from a different collection where the lollipops were made to look like trees on a landscape. It think this would well really well either as bedding, curtains or wallpaper. Within these collections there will also be these pieces as differnet colour ways. I am currently continuing another collection that consists of actual landscapes with the trees and buildings being made of sweets, lollys and icecreams.
